Another new venue for 2009

We've now found a perfect campsite for the next Wilts Rally
(1st–4th May 2009), which will avoid visitors packing their ‘waders’ next
year. It drains very well and has been thoroughly surveyed both during and
after heavy rainfall, as there was no shortage this summer!
A short walk from the campsite (which has hot showers) is a lovely thatched pub called the Horseshoe Inn, which has 3 rooms available for bed & breakfast, if you don't like camping. Alternatively, if you want to bring a motor home, there are both spaces and electric hook-ups at the campsite.
The campsite is in the village of Mildenhall, just 2 miles east of the historic market town of Marlborough, through which the river Kennet runs. We have an ancient hunting forest (Savernake) on our doorstep, which we will be taking you through on one of our three organised ride-outs, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday (morning only).
Given the popularity of our Barbeque last year, we are going to repeat it, but this time on Saturday evening so that we have more time to chill out and have a beer or three.
Prices
Tents / Motor homes £8 per night + £2.50 per day for electric (if needed) and
hot water is provided via a slot meter (20p gives 10 minutes).
Full English Breakfasts in pub £5 each, available from 7.30am.
Evening Meals available every night in pub at reasonable prices.
Saturday evening Barbeque will cost £5 each for 2 burgers (or hot dogs) and
a sweet/pudding (all food locally produced).
FREE Lardie Cake and Coffee after the Saturday & Sunday Rideouts.
FREE tea & coffee each day within the Rally Marquee.
