New venue for 2008
This year's rally is at a new venue, the Three Magpies at Sells Green, between Melksham and Devizes. We are very excited about this venue and are pleased to announce that HOT WATER and SHOWERS will be available! We have an action packed weekend lined up, and warmly invite HOC members to come along and join in the fun. Even if you don't want to camp you are still invited to join the ride-outs and other activities.
The rally site is very close to the Kenett & Avon Canal with a towpath,
which, for the sake of a shortish walk, allows you to see the famous Caen
Hill Flight of 29 locks, in quick succession, leading up into the historic
market town of Devizes, from the west. You can watch the narrow boats
as they fight their way up through this amazing run of locks, as we have
arranged a pre ride out excursion early on the Sunday morning, for those
who fancy stretching their legs before a day on their bikes.
The Spring Rally is a Saddle Sore eligible event as usual.
