Eight members met at Blunsdon at 8am for a trip to Devil's Bridge, near Aberystwyth, led by Geoff. The weather was overcast at first but sunny as we got into Wales. The first stop was for light refreshments at Rhayader, "waterfall on the Wye". Next stop was Devil's Bridge itself. The photo above shows the narrow gauge steam train to Aberystwyth, which is about twelve miles away.
On the way back we travelled through the picturesque Elan Valley, past several reservoirs. This elegant stone bridge is one of several in the area.
We stopped off at the regular Sunday bike meeting spot at Abergavenny. There were a few bikes there!
Even Mad Max turned up.
The distance to Devil's Bridge was 134 miles, and the round trip distance was 285 miles. I thought the roads and scenery were superb. Many thanks to Geoff for leading this trip.
